"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy."
I Corinthians 14:1

"Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you."
I Timothy 4:14

Hi everyone,

Our Easter service this year was awesome! I've heard a number of very positive comments. Among my favorites from visitors were, "This was the best church service I've ever attended!" "I felt I could be myself at FOC." "I enjoyed being in God's presence!" "The music and message were awesome!" I want to thank everyone for all the hard work. Special thanks to David Eslick, Bethany Palmer, Kenny Drain, David Gaston and Zak Allen. And thank you Jesus for the salvations and re-dedications!

I'm very excited about our upcoming Prophetic Presbytery on April 11, 12 and 13. Pastors Tom Lane from Southlake, Texas, Clark Whitten from Orlando, Florida and Bill Leckie from Cedar Hill, Texas will be this year's presbyters. The evening services will begin at 6:30 pm. A nursery will be provided.

What is a presbytery? It's simply when two or more 'presbyters'* working in team prophesy the prophetic word and impart through the laying on of hands to those candidates the local church has set forth. (*A presbyter is an elder in the sense of mature minister who functions in one or more of the 5-fold ministries listed in Ephesians 4:11 - Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.)

This year's candidates for presbytery are Jason & Debbie Jones, Russ & Margaret Terwilliger (Friday evening), Lyndel & Judy Crouch, Mark &Angela Anderson (Saturday Evening) and Mel & Monica Curtis and Michelle Henry (Sunday morning). There will be an emphasis on 'words in season' or timely, prophetic words given over people attending the services as the Lord leads.

I encourage everyone to attend as many of the services as you can. We will have a time of worship together and I trust the Holy Spirit will anoint the presbyters to prophesy over those the Lord has been preparing to receive strengthening, encouragement and comfort (I Cor. 14:3).

Do be in prayer for our presbyters and candidates. And ask the Lord to prepare your heart should a word be spoken over you!

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him-but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit."
I Cor. 2:9-10

Yours for our King and His kingdom!
E. Wayne Drain
